What to Expect From a Shamanic Healing Session in Sedona

If you have never done this work before, you may not be sure what you are even picturing. Maybe something dramatic. Maybe something you would feel a little silly admitting you were curious about. Maybe nothing at all, just a blank where the details would normally be. And a blank is a hard thing to say yes to.

So let me fill it in, so you can decide for yourself whether it is for you.

I am a registered nurse and a shamanic healer, and I have spent most of my life with one foot in the clinical world and one foot in the spiritual one. That combination shapes everything about how I work. I am not going to hand you mystery when what you came for is clarity. So here is what a session actually involves, plainly.

What Shamanic Healing Actually Is

Shamanic healing is one of the oldest forms of healing there is, older than any of the language we use to describe it now. Underneath all of it, the work is simple. It helps you release what you have been carrying that was never yours, and it returns you to the part of you that already knows the way.

It is not about fixing you. You are not broken. You are carrying something, and the two are not the same thing at all.

You do not have to believe anything in particular for it to reach you. Belief is a function of the conscious mind, and this work does not happen there. Willingness to be honest and willingness to be vulnerable is the only requirement.

What Actually Happens In A Session

We start by talking, and you tell me what you came to work on. What you name is only a doorway. The body has its own intelligence, and it does not always go where you expect. More often it takes us somewhere else entirely, to the pattern actually running underneath. I follow the body, not the agenda. That is how this work reaches what other approaches never touch.

From there I do not follow a script. This is intuitive work. I am guided in the moment, and I rarely know at the start where we are going to end up.

What I am listening for is the pattern that has been running you, the one you locked in so long ago it started to feel like who you are. It is not who you are. It is a construct, a program the mind built in a moment when it meant to protect you, and it has been running on its own ever since. I help you connect to it directly. We find where in your life it began, the moment you first decided this was how you would stay safe, and we go back there together. Going back is not reliving. I am not going to drop you into the worst moment and leave you in it. We go only as close as the work asks for, and you are with me the whole way. Then we take it apart. Not by force. By helping your body finally see that the thing it has been bracing against all these years was only a story of survival, a program that served you once and serves you no longer.

People experience this differently and all of it is normal. Some feel a deep quiet settle over them. Some feel emotion rise, move through, and leave. Some feel heat, or release, or the particular kind of tears that are not sadness, only something finally letting go. There is no correct way to receive it. Your body knows what to do.

This is where my nursing background earns its place. I know what a nervous system looks like when it is bracing, and I know what it looks like when it lets go. I watch for both. I will hold you steady, and I will not take you one step further than you are ready to go. You stay in charge of your own depth the entire time.

What people tell me afterward is not that they feel fixed. It is that something has gone quiet. The thing that used to grip them has loosened, and the story they had been living inside has shifted. Sometimes the program is simply gone. Other times it is still there, no longer running the way it did, which tells me there is another layer underneath, ready to be worked when they are.

Why Sedona

People have been coming to this land for a very long time, and you do not have to be spiritual to feel it. Sedona’s vortexes are swirling centers of the earth’s energy, and the red rocks do something to a person. Most feel it within minutes of arriving, a pull, a sense of being reached into. What I know is what I watch happen here, again and again.

The land stirs what has gone still. Things people have held down for years begin to rise. Some start to question something deep inside themselves, sensing there is more than the life they have been living, that they have been searching all along for something far larger than the reason that brought them here.

By the time someone reaches me, Sedona has already begun the work. Something in them is awake and asking. I meet them there.

What Healing Actually Asks Of You

Here is the honest part. Healing is not one session and done. It is a relationship you build with yourself over time, and like any real relationship it moves in layers.

A single session can be a beginning. It can be a turning point that opens something that has been sealed for years. It can be a steady place you come back to whenever you have lost your footing. Any of those is valid. Where you start is exactly where you are meant to start.

My hope is never that you come to depend on me. If you left believing you could not do this without me, I would have failed you, because this work is meant to return you to your own authority, not bind you to mine. A session can open the door. What you do in the days between is where the change takes root, the quiet noticing, the willingness to meet the pattern when it rises in an ordinary moment, the small honesty with yourself when no one is watching. That part is yours, and it is where the deepest benefit lives.

If you felt something in you lean toward this as you read, trust it. That is the part of you that is ready, and it has been ready longer than you think.

Something brought you here. Honor it. Book a discovery call today. 928-228-0902.
